In one go… #2

Waiting for The Microscope

Nothingness spreads wide,
drying the earth.

Slowly colors fade;
every leaf falls to the ground.

Death.

Once that recognized profile is seen,
the eye remains ever vigilant.

It perceives the presence,
the soul, now frozen,
still feels Life.

(So much so that it almost bothers it.)

Why do you ignore me?
Asks a shadow from the past.

Because you don’t recognize me?
A ray of sunshine asks
reflecting in a dusty mirror.

And yet, we are real and we are here,
heart and reason asking together,
can’t you maybe see that which has always been?

Look inside yourself.
Don’t you find, maybe, our name, too?

(In the desert, doesn’t a flower know how to be reborn?)

A scream rips the night,
breaking the emptiness of the silence.

Everything ends.

Until the dawn of the next day.
