…his mind had never stopped being focused on the motive for that trip, on the black of that ink scribbled in one go on white sheets all to be invented, on those sleepless nights following his inspiration and the right idea… on the adventure that he was about to live, on imagining what could possibly happen once he got to his destination and… what could possibly happen afterward.

How much heart and soul and how much determination had he summoned up to finish his book, to seek that perfection that he looked for so tenaciously, even if impossible to achieve. How is it possible to say just how many other sensations would soon stupefy, overwhelm and fill him? How is it possible to imagine his future dawning on the horizon when his reality had already gone way beyond his imagination?!

Soon, he would discover it, soon he would Live it with a capital “L.”

It wouldn’t be long, now, not even a day, and after so much work he would find himself in front of the honesty of those eyes, the intensity of that smile, as never before.
