In memory of all the animals who crossed the rainbow bridge because of human idiocy. – From Chapter 8, “Ace’s Fears” –
… thunderstorms make me nervous. And they give me headaches. Sure, they are fascinating, but their strong thunder, well, that… no. It’s a pain in the neck. If that sharp and deafening “BOOOM!” takes you by surprise… come on, who doesn’t get at least a little bit scared? But, if nothing else, I understand thunder. I mean to say that it makes sense. But when earthlings make all that racket… It’s absurd. I would bite them all, and not even very softly, I confess.
Have you heard of the “No to booms, yes to biscuits” campaign (which, of course, I support)? Well, I’ve just read some really really sad news. You terrestrials, sometimes you…. (I’d better bite my tongue.) How is it possible that so many of you don’t understand or consider others’ fears?! And yet you say that you love us…. – Ace 🐾
