– In the style of The Microscope & The Roller Coaster –

But you continue to smile, really.

At the dawn of the day,
which smells of coffee,

drawing deeply on the first cig,
while the sun rises,

the air smells of dampness and cement,
for an instant letting go

of all your thoughts to the wind.

But you smile, still and sincerely.

For that image
that enchants your eyes,

for those rare pages
that will surprise even you,

for an unexpected emotion,
for a small caress for someone you care for

forgetting all those problems.

And when sunset will burn
between the stars, the moon and the sky,

dream, don’t worry,
let go of your light soul,

close your eyes slowly,
and while the day dies,

you always continue to smile, I beg you.

Heartfelt smiles.
