Wishing a very Merry Christmas to you all… 🙂 (waiting for #TheMicroscope – Some Call It Poetry)
An excerpt from the novel Meeting Laura, chapter 4:
While it seems that nothing else matters – “Everyone needs a quiet happy place…”
Souls celebrating, table set, the kitchen’s warmth, the house full of life and the littlest ones playing. Chatting, food, laughter, toasts, happiness; relax, intimacy, joy.
A tradition that repeats spontaneously, spontaneously desired. Sensations so pleasant, impossible to forget, to underestimate, to abandon.
Meanwhile outside, among the first shadows of the evening, snow has started to fall, again, softly, wrapping and padding the entire landscape in its white quilt.
Who could resist going outside, then, at least for a second, to toss a few well-aimed snowballs?
Observing these images, the mind scampers, mocking, between dream and reality, between what was, what is, and what – maybe – will be, tomorrow. Emotions follow one another, rapidly, dancing ably on the merry-go-round of memories from which, sometimes, getting down can be a problem…
